The uniqueness of Emotional Decoding of Symptoms ®

1. The question is no longer focused on why I have a problem

For example: Why do I eat all the time? Why am I fat? Why don't I eat? Why can't I lose weight ?

2. It asks in what way is this problem a response

During the sessions, we question the usefulness of being overweight or experiencing a problem
with food.
For example: eating helps me reassure myself, to fill an emptiness
The weight helps me protect myself, to be strong, to replace an absence
For example: I can keep the weight of a child, the number of years, the weight of the absence

3. To find the source

The biology responds to a need that is real and useful at the moment; an intense emotional instance where we often feel alone, with no solution, and which our body has memorized.
Identifying this blocked emotion enables us to liberate this memory.

For example: I gained weight after a miscarriage. The body keeps this presence, as if it feels my need to be in contact with this baby. The absence is unbearable and I am still grieving, my body "keeps" the weight of this child.
So the important realization is not to know how many pounds I want to lose, but to know how many extra pounds I am carrying.

The approach is identical for all symptoms :

Example 1: The question, Why do I have indigestion? becomes Why is it useful for my stomach to produce more acid? The response is simple, to better digest something. So, what is it that I have a problem digesting? What remains in my stomach? And when was an instance when I had a problem with digestion?

Example 2: The question, Why do I have eczema? becomes What is useful about producing excess skin? More skin for more contact! So find the instance when I had the sensation of a separation.

4. Enable the transformation

The transformation can be immediate, rapid, or require more time. Although sometimes the simple act of liberating the blocked emotion is enough, sometimes more therapeutic support is necessary to thoroughly explore the relationships with you, your body, beliefs—anything that can block.
Some of our emotions become an integral part of us, a part of our personality. The more an emotion is established and the longer your lifestyle and habits have developed around it, the more likely a longer work will be necessary.

5. Rediscover an equilibrium

Certainly a biological equilibrium, but also an emotional equilibrium that can be rediscovered through various means, such as acquired awareness, emotional liberation, development of resources, modifications of meanings, and changes in beliefs.

6. Techniques

PNL, hypnosis, metaphors, transgenerational, systemic, storytelling

Example of a typical session. When Elodie, a young woman around 20, comes to see me, she wonders why she has had psoriasis on her scalp since September, and why the treatments aren't working. Beginning with the function of the skin (contact) and hair (protection, esthetics), the hypothesis is that Elodie might have experienced a period where her self-image was the product of an important separation.
Therefore I asked her if during this period (the summer before the psoriasis appeared) she had experienced a particular event where she felt that her identity was questioned as if she was ashamed of her looks. A period linked to a separation, either from someone or some pleasure. Elodie remembered the precise moment that she felt this. Her boyfriend had broken up with her because he had met another girl ! This feeling immediately reminded her of another event in her life. She was young, and the other students at her school made fun of her and her frizzy hair. She was ashamed and wished she could look different. It was as if she separated from herself and the others at the same time !
The programming shock dated from her childhood! She recognized all the suffering and emotion that she had experienced as a young girl and had been trying to run away from all these years. This was the opportunity to free herself and change her self-image. A month later, her psoriasis had disappeared.

For obvious reasons of confidentiality, the name and certain elements in the example were
changed.
Note : This example of the resolution of a programing shock is real, but obviously, the therapy sometimes takes longer and require specific exercises and procedures.

I offer therapeutic support based on hypotheses and the following principles :

  • I listen to the patient and his/her version of reality. I offer possibilities; I do not impose my own perspective!
  • I respect the beliefs and values of each individual.
  • I guide the individual toward his/her own interior resources.
  • I help the individual access and release blocked emotions.
  • I accept all realities without making judgments.
  • I support patients in their search for the meaning of the symptom.
  • I help patients rediscover an equilibrium.
  • I allow individuals the freedom to be responsible for their own healing.
  • I respect the professional framework and code of ethics.
